Visit in the summer season with average temperatures ranging between 26 - 30 degrees Celsius in Franschhoek, never warmer. This is the time to visit the Winelands’ many delightful activities such as visiting wine farms, hiking or biking the mountains, cycling the countryside, going on a train ride, or enjoying the many Franschhoek gastronomical fares for which Franschhoek is world-famous.
The winter rainy season in the Winelands, with an average rainfall per month at around 54mm and temperatures a mild 20 degrees Celsius on average, maybe a time to spend indoors and catch up on writing and reading, but also wine tastings, and luxury lunches.

The entire 3-bedroom main house, two additional, but separate self-catering suites are available on the property to rent. Please ask for a quote are available to rent for a period of one month (if you love it, you are welcome to extend your stay to one year).

The house is on two levels, with the Master Suite on the second level. The "Junior Suite" and the "Luxury Suite" are on the ground floor. Each suite has a set of French doors opening to its own private balcony or veranda that looks out over the beautiful garden and swimming pool. The Luxury suite on the ground floor has doors opening also to the other side of the house, overlooking a patio and landscaped garden. Depending on the season, this is therefore a room with choices.
The house has luxurious living areas on the lower level with tasteful and classic furniture, soft carpeting, and rich textures and colours. The walls are bedecked with paintings of famous and less famous South African and other artists. The 16-seater (or more) dining room has wide doors opening onto the under-roof stoep overlooking the pool and garden area. The open-air braai and pizza oven at the pool deck is a great place to enjoy the typical South African outdoor dinners on balmy summer nights.
Somewhat secluded from the main house are two together, however, separate garden suites complete with a kitchenette each. These garden suites have their own entrance from the parking area and verandas overlooking a private garden with a lovely water feature.
